The annual CES / Home Entertainment Show is always a great opportunity to meet-up with old friends, make some new ones, and show-off our hand crafted, made in USA audio gear. For 2011, we brought the new monitor, along with our T3, and the venerable EA4 amplifier, that we have been building in one iteration or the other for 5 years. The Studio Electric Monitor has taken us over a year to perfect. It isn’t easy to build a big-sounding, highly accurate, non-fatiguing monitor at this price point. But we pulled it off. And, the new monitor seemed to be a big hit at the show.
Some of the comments we received:
"With Studio Electric products, you are simply a part of the music under examination. These are some of the most musically engaging monitors I've ever experienced!” - Positive Feedback-CES 2011 coverage
"The look, and especially the sound, suggests an expensive speaker. Think $2550 a pair is a lot? You won't once you hear them."

"The Studio Electric Monitor was fantastic!…outstandingly linear and I was stunned at the dynamic range. Plus they look great and only cost $2,550.00. I want."

"The Studio Electric Monitor represents a break from design themes established in the firm’s higher-end models (some of which look almost like 21st-century avant garde sculptures). Instead, the Monitor offers what might be termed “Arts and Crafts” styling—kind of like what might happen if you handed William Morris or Gustav Stickley a plain black two-way monitor and asked them to dress it up a bit. But the sound is what really matters, and where the Studio Electrics succeed in particular is in combining reasonable neutrality with an uncanny ability to convey the dynamic energy and “life” inherent in good recordings. - The Absolute Sound RMAF 2010 - show coverage
"The pairing of Benchmark Audio and Studio Electric Loudspeakers had a new face, the Studio Electric Monitor with handsome retro custom grill. The sound was impressive and musical, inviting extended listening." - Stereophile RMAF 2010 - show coverage
"As always, the Benchmark and Studio Electric system sounded great" - Positive Feedback RMAF - show coverage
