OUR BACKGROUND:

Dave MacPherson, our founder and managing director is an engineer with a long professional history, designing and building audio systems for some of the world's great performing arts venues, including The Lincoln Center, Orchestra Hall in Chicago, and The Sundance Festival. In 2006 Dave brought an "art piece" prototype loudspeaker (based on the inner workings of a successful studio monitor) to the CES show. The original STUDIO ELECTRIC loudspeaker had been intended as nothing more than a design exercise, but the little speaker also seemed to be an uncanny transducer of the musical spirit. The emotional content of recordings was revealed in such a way, that Dave realized "we had created a rather magical device". Inspired by high praise from the audiophile press, Dave assembled a small team of industry veterans, to bring this blend of "audio as art" and "natural reproduction" to the home audio market.

Our Goal:

Our goal is to recreate the finest detail, and the emotional power, that is preserved in fine recordings. Our equipment must provide hours of fatigue free listening, and our designs must contribute, rather than detract, from the interior design of your home. We strive to blend form and function, to create" industrial art for the audiophile".

OUR BUSINESS MODEL:

We are not really a factory. We are a design and fabrication studio, staffed by veteran designers and craftsman. We hope you will appreciate our unique blend of art and engineering, combined with a business ethic based on " do good work and charge a fair price" .
